I have been a patient of Dr. Akbar for a few years. She started me on a weight loss plan with medication last April and the results have been AMAZING! I struggled with my weight for several years after I had a total hysterectomy and with Dr. Akbar’s encouragement and expertise, I’ve lost over 60lbs! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Akbar she is amazing!!

Absolutely would not recommend. My wife was seeing her for a couple years now and it seems as though she can’t keep up with her patients and provide the correct help that is needed. She is also prescribing vitamins that are not FDA approved. She doesn’t know correct milligrams a patient should take with certain medications. Do not see her!! Very careless and cold.

My mother has been a patient of Dr. Akbar’s for over 15 years. Recently my mother relocated and changed physicians. This was a learning experience about the transparency of this practice, I mean business for profit. 1) Requesting recent labs after multiple conversations and faxes as requested never responded to. My mother had been seeing Dr. Akbar quarterly for a stable thyroid condition.. They did not send anything to new endocrinologist. I have battled weight, depression, anxiety, all over pain, and extreme fatigue for years. A friend recommended Dr Akbar and I am so glad she did. I no longer battle depression or anxiety, my thyroid is almost in check, the Hashimoto's is being treated and I rarely have pain anymore. And, I have lost 70lbs!!
