Just all around great!
We didn’t have the chance to dine at Akari Sushi this time, but I absolutely had to share our experience. My mother tripped and fell right outside the restaurant, and one of their staff members, Wendy — a truly compassionate woman — immediately rushed to our aid. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and reassuring during a very stressful moment. She even brought out napkins and first aid supplies to help us. We waited over 45 minutes for our food and the server kept telling us 3 minutes ,3 minutes, ridiculous. The food was actually good but it just took way too long. When we received our change back from paying the tab we were $10 short. My husband immediately said something to the server and she came back right away with the extra $10 and said my bad. Not sure if it was intentional or not. We just moved to the island. Not sure if we would return.
We are from Orlando area and we pretty much ate at every sushi place there and in the Sarasota area. This is one of the best sushi places we’ve ever eaten at hands down! Five days vacation here, and we will be eating here every day. The people here are very sweet.
