This was my second solo pilgrimage to Akami, because sometimes I just want to sit at the sushi bar in peace and let raw fish solve my problems. I ordered uni, chutoro, ama ebi, kanpachi, and was sad to hear the ocean trout was sold out. (But it’s ok.) I also had the Hokkaido Pearl , which I enjoyed and the scallop was fresh. This place would be my go to place for sushi while visiting Mooresville, NC. I get the Shogun Donburi and its amazing. A5, Uni, and Toro. Salmon Belly is delicious as well as Otoro nigiri. Tried the salmon lover and it was also good. So Nice i had to eat there twice back to back. Lol

The worst service ever! I traveled all day and actually had to beg for food because I was very hungry.ordered most expensive items on the menu, including sake. Sake, came first and needless to say I had some which made me tipsy food was still not there after almost 1 hour, I asked multiple times to give me anything to eat. The service was terrible. We arrived at the café, placed our order, and were told there would be a wait of about 25 minutes for a table. In the end, we waited a full hour but were never seated. Instead, our order was processed as a takeaway, even though we had planned to eat in. To make matters worse, they didn't even include cutlery with the order. We are very disappointed with the way customers are treated and the quality of service.

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. We waited for about 30 minutes after our order was taken, and then we were told we would need to wait another 30 minutes just to be seated/served. We were with our family and a small child, and we were in a hurry because we had to get to the airport. We had been on the road all day and had not eaten anything, so I was already feeling very unwell and had a bad stomachache.
