This provider (Dr. Ajay) is a good doctor who takes his time to listen, and care to his patients. He is soft spoken, patient, and very kind. One of my favorite things he has said during an appointment was “I work FOR YOU” which I feel I don’t hear often from doctors.

Dr. AJ is very thorough, has a great bedside manner, great listener, and goes beyond the norm in diagnosing a complex issue. He takes the time to explain what the test results are and what exactly the treatment plan should be. As a patient who has multiple health issues, on several occasions he will contact the other physicians and they work as a team and discuss what my treatment plan should. Going to SSM in Shawnee is super easy. They're always on time for your appointment, so you won't be waiting around forever. Dr. Ajay Varughese is really personable, takes his time to listen and explain things, and follows up to make sure everything's clear. The nurses are great too; couldn't ask for a better blood draw! She never has an issue finding a vein, done before you feel anything.
