This was a amazing place learning about gold miners and the gold rush
Was a lot of fun! Very informative and the mine was really cool. Loved the demonstrations and the tour guide was knowledgeable. The panning was fun and we got some flakes of gold.
Family run business and it was by far the best land tour experience our family had. Everyone was very friendly and actual tools was shown what it was like in the mines in the old days, this way, gave us a true sense of reality of what it must have been like back then. thank you!

We went on the AJ Mine & Gastineau Mill Tour on August 10, 2026. All of the staff involved in the experience were friendly and helpful - the driver who brought us from Juneau to the mine and back, the gentleman who gave us the mine tour, the young woman who explained how the mill worked, the folks who showed us how to pan for gold, and the staff in the store.
