She has seen my daughter a few times in the past 6 or so years while inpatient at CHOC hospital. She is the best. So knowledgeable. She is sincerely interested in all of her patients and patient families. It will be a sad day when she retires. So thankful for her.
Dr. Simjee was forward-thinking, progressive, and connected on a personal level. As I faced my surgery, I was confident that she would proceed on the basis of who I am as well as what surgery I needed. I got nervous and thought I was beginning to feel something. She asked me a simple, unrelated, question and before I could answer her she said, "All through!" She knew I didn't need extra medication and she was right! I really love her and recommend her to anyone looking for an Opthamologist.

Get a second opinion!!! This so-called doctor told me I had macular degeneration and cataracts in April of 2005. I was advised that I would be blind within 5 years. Dr. Simjee tried to coerce me into making an appt the same day to have my cataracts removed (along with cosmetic eyelid surgery, of course.) I have this diagnosis in writing and signed by her.
