11/20/25 UPDATE: Progress. Airstream will not replace the Bambi but finally agreed to replace the panel. I'm ofcourse grateful but still sad it took 7 months to get to this point despite having proof. They declined covering the damages despite proof, again, so still talking to them about that. The repairs for the damages were completed and cost $4K. They offered to give me the Bambi or keep it until the panel is replaced. I elected the latter since I don't want any more delays. The Service department should change its name as the concept of “service” is nonexistent—they expect you to automatically know how to navigate your service experience instead of guiding new customers through the customary process or asking appropriate questions regarding the age and use of the Airstream you’re bringing in. Having already enjoyed an excellent experience with Chad in the Sales department some months ago when we bought our Airstream, I was looking forward to using the Service department going forward and when called upon they didn’t disappoint. While preparing our Globetrotter for an upcoming vacation a problem occurred with the water heater and with little time left before we departed, we were looking at having to cancel the entire trip.
