Basically, if the helicopter company airmed contract with is available when you need a life flight, you’re good, but if that one’s tied up or out of service for the moment, they send another one and then you get billed 50-80,000. And there’s no way that you have any control as you’re unconscious in a car accident at the time. I just called and spoke to a representative and asked questions about whether my Medicare would cover this flight and that person has no answers and got very rude and eventually hung up on me. I can't say enough about this company. We have unfortunately had to use them 2 times now for my mom. One of which was emergent and the other was a fly you home from the same incident. The crews went above and beyond BOTH times! They were on time and transported her faster than I thought was even possible. FIVE STARS!!! I can't stress enough to get this insurance!

FYI they auto-renew your annual subscription and have a few hoops you have to jump through to cancel it. You'll be charged with no notice at renewal time and they told me a refund "might not be approved".
