Would give them no stars, but it's not an option. Guy at the counter has no people skills and is rude. They refuse to refill my welding gas bottles on-site, required exchange, and cost roughly 50% more just for their gas than other local suppliers, plus $34 in ridiculous fees. This place is a rip-off! Andy Oxy will be getting my business from now on. What should have cost less than $50 at Andy Oxy cost me almost $100 here. Hindsight is definitely 20/20. Will never do business here again.
Excellent, friendly service. always. Today they went above and beyond to help with a delivery. We would have had to wait for 2 weeks but they squeezed us in to the delivery route today, without me even asking! These are the things that separate good from great, to me.
In November 2020 I stopped by Air gas in Asheville NC to get a 5lb CO2 tank refilled. They brought me an exchange tank out. I thought this should not be an issue since they are supposed to inspect the tanks before releasing them. My tank was maybe a year old. It is now March of 2021 and the tank was empty. Not saying I don’t have a leak on my end, so I took that tank to a local store to have it exchanged. Turns out it was out of date and that cost me an extra $25. Lesson learned on my part. This place is great ! Every time I have been there, they went in to detail to help a wanna be welder. I feel awkward going in to purchase something that I don’t know much about but they take their time to make sure you get what you need and that you have a basic understanding of how to use it. Youtube helps also, lol, and taking a class will be even better. Going back today for a plasma cutter.
