My ac wasn't running and they came quickly, but then told me it would be at least $1000 to repair, but more likely closer to $2,500 so we should just replace it. My brother works in heating and air, drove 3 hours and brought less than $100 in supplies and it took 20 minutes. He said it sounds fine and will probably last us a few more years. They tried to cheat us.

This was once a local business that has since been bought out and still pretends to be Eureka Heating & Cooling. They checked our unit and concluded that we would need a new unit costing $15-20k despite our unit only being 8 years old. They added every bell and whistle that was unnecessary. We called 2 other companies and got quotes at less than half the price and didn't have to pay $200 for them to show up and do nothing like this company did. Once again, Jessie saved the day. Fan blade disintegrated off the shaft of the fan motor of a 19-year-old Carrier HVAC. At 330am it was a disastrous noise. Called at 8am. By 10am, Jessie was on site. Correctly assessed the repair, got the part locally, installed and tested system extensively. Repair complete by 1pm. Cost well within initial estimate. Wife rewarded with gingerbread cookies.
