These folks were very knowledgeable and courteous, but very much on the high side in terms of price. They charged $140/pound for R410A refrigerant (which retails for about $10 per pound). I appreciate that service providers need to charge a premium on refrigerant to cover the time, expertise, licensing, overhead, etc., and I was willing to accept that (Aire Cool was charging about twice what other services do, thus nearly $400 in added "labor" to add three pounds of R410A is a pretty generous allowance for these costs).
