SITUATION: 5 year old home. 2100 square feet. Original builder installed 2.5 ton carrier unit. was too small by any formula. Blower fan ECM filled as. stimulated repair cost. 700 plus dollars. warranty expired two months ago. I decided to replace the under powered unit with a 4 ton, appropriately sized new unit rather. than repair the old. ESTIMATE: I Gathered a total of six estimates.
