I've always found Dr. Ahsan sympathetic and willing to listen. When my health improved enough, she allowed me to go off the last pill I was taking and work on my blood pressure through diet and lifestyle changes, and it has worked out fine. I think the low rating here is from some sort of organized attack for reasons that have nothing to do with her abilities as a doctor.
I was really disappointed with my experiences. She never knew what was going on and constantly criticized me on my choice to take birth control + anxiety med because of her personal beliefs. She made me take pregnancy tests to get refills and come in every month to make money. My friend went in for the first time and immediately prescribed her dangerous appetite suppressants because of her weight. She is not up to date on current evidence based practice and lets her own values influence her care

She does not listen and is very uncaring. Lacks compassion.
I did recommend her to relatives who are looking for a doctor who retired. Most doctors only spend a few minutes with you but Dr Ahsan spends 20 to 30 minutes. Wait times are not long, staff is friendly and competent. She does refer me to several specialists but that is a good thing. I have never had to make an emergency appointment with her. I see her about once every 3 months. Only complaint is they instituted a policy of no phone refills. Most Medes prescribed by specialists so no biggie.
