Dr. Sawas treated me through Northwell’s ER televisit after hours. I had been to a Northwell Urgent Care five days before for a UTI. But the short course of meds they gave me didn’t solve the problem. And my pain returned with a vengeance. Dr. Sawas prescribed the proper meds and even said he would call my pharmacy to follow up and made sure they were filled. I am grateful for his compassion and efficient and fast diagnosis and treatment. I found him to be wise, thoughtful and a good listener.
I admit that I was wary because Dr. Sawas seemed to young to me. But he has been wonderful - patient, clear in his explanations and extremely supportive. I HIGHLY recommend him.
I am 23 years old and was told to see Dr Sawas in early 2019, as I was recommended to him by my neurologist for suspected anemia. During my first time meeting him, as I was sharing my opinion, he yelled at me. He did not take my health seriously (I suspect this was because I didn’t suffer from cancer like the majority of of his patients…). He scheduled me for two iron infusions, which brought my iron levels to 309 (more than double the maximum recommended amount). Dr Ahmed Sawas is an amazing doctor. He helped heal my husband of stage 4 cancer, when it appeared my husband was on his death bed. Dr Sawas is professional, compassionate, highly competent, and intelligent. He helped turn an awful experience (stage 4 cancer) into a blessing. I would recommend Dr Sawas and staff to all in need of an upstanding doctor that can treat cancer in a kind and understanding manner. Thank you Dr Sawas!!
