I am deeply concerned by the lack of clinical knowledge of the doctor and his PA at this ProMedica office regarding the Brain-Gut-Heart Axis. Despite experiencing severe pain, a racing heart, and shortness of breath, I was told the connection between chronic impaction, brain injury, and cardiovascular distress "were NOT related." Disappointed by the lack of insight on how severe constipation affects heart health. After communicating concerns to the doctor and his NP, both totally dismissed my cardiac concerns, despite documented medical evidence linking severe constipation to cardiovascular events. - If you have both GI and heart symptoms, be aware this provider may overlook the connection between them.
