I have participated in and enjoyed a variety of sports both competitively and socially since childhood. I suffered a severe knee injury when I was 16 and sports were sidelined for a while. As an adult I always wanted to try yoga but it wasn’t until October of 2012 that I had the opportunity to take my first yoga class. I loved it! Even though I was out of shape and struggled with some of the poses, with the encouragement of my husband and the yoga teachers I continued. I was pleased to find that with a consistent practice measurable improvement was easily achieved. I also found that my knees didn’t hurt as much!
