Can’t schedule a appointment for something small and as for a new patient it’s all the way out in may and don’t care about anyone and their needs and now on top of it all they had a old man as a doctor that made my daughter loose her baby so
Worked with Dr Sims as a new, but urgent patient. The office staff were able to get me a new patient appointment in a week! The nurse and Dr Sims were wonderful….informative, compassionate and professional. Made a difficult appointment less difficult than it could have been. Thank you!
Ever since Augusta took over, the place has really gone downhill in quality, in my opinion. They lost the majority of their incredible midwife team as well as numerous other providers. They used to only hire nurse midwives and women's health NPs for their mid-levels. Now, they've opened it up to FNPs and PAs. While this care is technically within their scope of practice, they just don't get the specialized training that women's health specific fields do, so they're behind on a learning curve. Would not recommend going here make the drive to UVA. My wife had several complications during her pregnancy and felt like we were always told something different from each nurse each visit. There were some great mid wives but also a few that were very rude to her. And to the old lady working up front….get a new job if you hate yours that much, you have no idea what my wife was going thru with her first pregnancy, yet you would make her cry because you where so rude almost every time she checked in.
