I spent many thousands of dollars on "316 powder coated stainless" railings for my three decks; I wanted them to be "bullet proof"... wrong!! I did not know that it was sourced in "ASIA," or that 316 would rust like crazy and the powder coat would peel off. Since installation, I have had to pull the cables, de-rust and repaint the rails twice; this is not what I had in mind. My neighbor has alloy aluminum railings like they use on boats and it looks great all the time.
