We had an exceptional time at afternoon tea here. Booked for my birthday and service was very good and impeccable. They also provided a birthday treat too. The atmosphere was perfect for afternoon tea. Did feel that it was more relaxed in terms of dress than the Ritz but it is your option to dress up or down as you please. The hotel and winter garden is beautiful , the piano brought such great ambience to the place. We came here to enjoy an afternoon tea and although the food was good and well presented unfortunately the service ruined our experience here. We had afternoon tea for two and the experience was very disappointing. The bill was over �200 with no extras, which felt extremely overpriced for what was offered. Service was very slow and unprofessional. We waited over 30 minutes for a teapot and had to remind the staff. We were told that sandwiches and sweets would be continuously replenished, but they only came once.
