Lovely venue, tasty sandwiches, good tea (limited selection) and that’s about it. Unbelievable price for store bought- like desserts (inedible) and an accompaniment of a small dollop of clotted cream for the almost burnt scones - enough cream for a half scone. Asking for more seemed like an affront to the staff. Worst high tea I ever experienced
Pots are small so your first 2 cups are super concentrated and the rest are barely there. If the pot was bigger you'd have a more even flavor for your whole time there. The sweets were 50/50, the scones were unremarkable and more of a storebought texture and flavor than you'd expect for a tea service in this price range. They were very picky about no substitutions but did call us to confirm. Myself and child attended the Princess Afternoon Tea Party and we both really enjoyed it. I found the sandwiches good and the deserts were good too. The scone was soft on the inside. Service was decent and the entertainment was the best part.
The elegance, quality and service is at Old Mill Toronto. Every visit is an amazing one.
