Too bad that this is the only game in town for after hours. My son's dog was hit by a car. The evening shift with Dr. Farrell seemed to really care about the dog and kept us well informed. Different story after he went home. Dr. Stone and staff came on and when we would call we would get..."It's been an hour since we last looked in on him...let me check" He was in critical condition and required monitoring so I don't understand what we were paying for by leaving him overnight. This is the second time I've called with emergency related health concerns with my dogs and they have always been helpful. Emergency services are always expensive, so my first question is always 'Can it wait?'. Unlike many other night services, they're perfectly willing to ask a vet for an honest phone consultation before saying whether your animal should be seen or not. they are inconciderate of the owners of the dog. they dont tell you what is going on. they wont tell you if they will be okay. they dont do anything. i took my dog in at 8 on sat night and its 6 today and shes still there. she fell off of the table and was having a hard to breathing. they just took an x-ray an hour ago. very disapointed for this being the only emergency vet open i didnt feel that they tried very hard to keep her alive.
