I've had Dr Arefie since I've moved to the US ~ 9 years ago. She's always been fantastic, remembers my medical history, and also has great bedside manner. No complaints, and always a pleasure to see her.

Dr. Arefie was my primary care doctor at Kaiser for many years until Jan 2022. I had Lung cancer 4-2020 and then it spread to Brain 7-2021. I had an MRI on a Saturday and as soon as she got the MRI report on Sunday, she frantically contacted any surgeons, hotlines within kaiser to have a brain surgeon to take actions. Finally a surgeon contacted me the next day and had surgery in less than a day as I was told by the surgeon that I had 12-24 hours to live. My teenage daughter was experiencing abdominal pain, right below her navel. Due to COVID, parents cannot go in hospital, which is completely understandable. However, I expect that professionals in the medical community, especially MD’s, to act PROFESSIONAL and RESPECTFUL. She has been assigned to my father, she has no clue what she is doing or how to handle senior citizens. Her license should be revoked. She order PT for him with out seeing his state of condition. He does not have the core strength to hold his head up straight, he needs to be transferred to a rehab center. OT that came yesterday was shocked that he was not in a rehab center. She told him he would die if he stayed home. Dr Arefie refuses to answer her phone to get assistance for rehab center.

I really liked Dr. Arefie. My family of 5 went to see her over two years while we were with Kaiser. She was great. Easy to schedule with. Quick and thorough with all vaccines. Absolutely no regrets. We miss her as we are no longer with kaiser.

I found Dr. Arefie to be a complete nitwit. The English as a second language with the strong accent would be forgivable if I felt she had more competence in her advice. I thought this was simply how all Kaiser physicians were until I tried someone new. I've found a range over the past five years through trial and error. I'm thankful I tried other doctors at Kaiser before assuming this reflected the level of care with all Kaiser physicians.

First off, she will not refill pain medication for you, in any amount, for any reason whatsoever. Period. It does not matter how many other meds or therapies you have tried for years or how infrequent your need is. She was also very quick to change up other medications that have been successfully controlling my symptoms with no side effects for 4+ years. Although I understand the importance of positive life choices to health, she highly stresses diet and exercise as a SUBSTITUTE for medication.
