8/27/17- Move from VA to FL Michael, Sr. Consultant for Affordable Movers told me more lies than I can recount. The most egregious of them all being that he promised the price was guaranteed and absolutely would not change. He said "unless we surprised them with a hot tub, the estimate was binding and would stay them same". He even went so far as to say his quote was "over estimated by 5%" to leave extra room for more items. Everything beyond the quote was terrible with this moving company. Initially the movers kept having to change the time they would pick up my items from the house I was living in. Then once the day the mover told me they would deliver my things to the new residence no one came. I had to call customer service and after waiting for someone to finally pick up I was on hold again for 20 mins before I was disconnected. Lying salesman, incompetent dispatch. A total joke and we ended up renting a uhaul and doing the move across the country ourselves. The salesman promised a delivery date. When the actual movers contacted me they said they "never" guarantee a delivery date. Our items were ready for pick up a month before our requested delivery. The salesman said they would be picked up in time and set it for a Monday - after arranging for time off and having everything ready, they called Monday morning to say we were scheduled for Tuesday.
