My wife and I had been saying “we'll deal with it later” for years. We finally sat down with the cremation specialists and went through the cremation arrangements together. We settled on affordable cremation with a memorial afterward. Nobody made the conversation morbid or uncomfortable, which was probably why we actually finished it this time.

My aunt hadn't made any arrangements beforehand, so the first couple of days were chaotic. The cremation specialists patiently answered the same questions from three different family members. That made the dignified cremation process a little easier on all of us.

We lost my father suddenly and honestly had no idea where to start. A neighbor recommended them for affordable cremation, so I made the call. They walked us through the cremation packages without making everything sound like a sales pitch. We chose cremation with memorial so we could give relatives time to travel and gather later.

My mother always said she didn't want a big fuss when the time came. We found this place in Brooklyn for a simple cremation, and they respected that from the start. The professional cremation team was kind without trying to talk us into extras.
