Dr. Malas is such an awesome Oncologist. He is so personable, detailed oriented and makes his patients feel like a priority. During each visit, the entire staff are so pleasant and supportive. The receptionist are very nice greeting with a smile. Care team are nice and knowledgeable.
On August 14th I personally dropped off a form I needed the hematologist to fill out and send back to my doctor. 5 days later I call to check up on it. I left a voicemail asking someone to call me back. No one did. On August 27th I call again. The person who answers unapologetically informs me they lost the form and asks me to drop it off again. Yesterday, I had my first appointment with Dr. Rozell in Hazel Crest, IL and it was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I met Michelle first when she checked me in and she was both warm and inviting with a great sense of humor. Yeti called me to a room and took my vitals. Once she confirmed everything was good, we chatted a little bit about everything and nothing when I learned that she is the neighbor of my good girlfriend from high school. Dr. McIlwain is truly exceptional. She is kind, patient, and never makes me feel rushed, no matter how many questions I bring in. She explains everything clearly and thoughtfully, and she’s incredibly thorough with my care and concerns. Most importantly, I felt (and still feel) completely safe in her hands, which meant so much at a time when everything felt overwhelming and fragile. I’m deeply grateful for her compassion, her expertise, and the way she shows up for her patients.
