My daughter had an electrical issue in her apartment and I wasn't able to do a proper diagnostic over the phone with her! I phoned Andy and explained the situation and what we did with my daughter. I’d give Andy 10 stars if I could! I contacted him for the first time this afternoon about a problem re my burglar alarm. Andy responded immediately that his van was in garage being repaired, but that he would walk to our house, with his bag of hand tools. This was late Friday afternoon on a dark and very cold November day. Andy walked for a mile to get here to identify the problem, and to do an initial repair. Spruced up stairwell with some fresh LEDs in place of the dingey old falling apart tubes. Stair is well lit and Andy clearly took time in preparation for the job. In and out within about 5 hours. Everything works as expected. The lights supplied are modular and can be colour/brightness adjusted or fitted with other functionalities if it comes up. Job was done today so of course I'll see if anything comes up or if there's any feedback from other owners/occupiers. But current impression is very good.
Andy inspected and made some minor repairs to our home alarm. Arrived promptly, did what he said he would do and was easy to work and communicate with. No issues since his visit.
Andy is a great electrician - I have used him quite a few times now. Last month he fixed my mini storage heater in the bathroom and also a light switch (for very little as he was already there - that's what he said). He's honest and friendly. Would highly recommend.
