Aetna denied coverage when I had poison ivy on my face and my eyes were swelling shut. Urgent care was not covered even after the urgent care reached out repeatedly to Aetna to explain that the care was critical and should absolutely be covered.

Update 7/6 It gets worse. I have been in an autoimmune arthritis flareup since surgery, and I need a biologic that works, but they are practicing medicine without a license and they are trying to force me to take medication that is contraindicated, including for my heart issues. Bullshit company, told me I would recieve 70% of an out of pocket payment back after a $100 deductible. I called 2 times to verify before spending $2,500 out of my own pocket just for them to turn around and after months send me a check for half of what I should get back. It has been nothing but a hassle dealing with everyone in the behavioral health claims department trying to figure out why the hell j keep getting told information that’s just blatantly wrong.
