Essure Permanent Sterilization Procedure – I had the new permanent Essure sterilization procedure completed at Aethena Gynecology by Dr. Leslie Struxness. The procedure was done with a local anesthetic in the office and was virtually painless except for minor period like cramping and spotting that lasted about 4 hours after the procedure.
