Shannon and the team at aequus are phenomenal. After training with Shannon for 8+ years I cannot speak more highly of her as a trainer and business owner. She is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. She takes the time to teach, explain and inform as she wants everyone to be able to move well no matter what your age. Shan’s priority is providing people with longevity in the fitness industry. Could not recommend them more!
Aequus is a great, welcoming gym. The pool is absolutely beautiful in both summer and winter and the sauna is so lovely. The team is so friendly and the booking system gives it a real private feel. Huge rec!
Great gym with a welcoming vibe! The staff and members are always friendly. I mainly use the pool, gym and sauna. The magnesium pool is excellent — really clean and perfect for swimmers like me who sometimes get rhinitis from chlorine-heavy pools. Highly recommend.
My partner and I used the pool and sauna at Aequus while we were in Canberra for a month for work. Such a great pool for swimming laps (especially when the sun was streaming in), with the added benefits of magnesium for your skin and muscles! The owners were super accomodating in offering us a short term membership. We will definitely use this place again next time we're in Canberra.
I have trained at Aequus for a few years now and it is always a highlight of my day. The knowledgeable and friendly team have helped me reach goals, demonstrate correct technique and are always there for a chat or advice to help me with my fitness journey.
