WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT MAKE SURE YOU CALL BACK AFTER YOU GET YOUR FINAL BILL, REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE REPRESENTATIVE SAYS IF YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS. I’m extremely disappointed with how my account was handled by American Electric Power. When I closed my account October was my last month. Final bill came in November. I specifically asked how to handle the remaining balance. The representative told me I could simply make $50 monthly payments until it was paid off. Power has been out for over a day and the app said that they are “working” on another outage in another area. I drove over to see that they only have TWO workers that proceeded to sit there and smoke 2-3 full cigarettes and talk. This company is a joke and they will leave you in the dark if your stuff goes out
Power went out from a tree falling. I’ve been without power since 3pm yesterday. All food in the fridge has went bad. I tried getting ahold of a physical person to talk to and have not got a call from anybody. Tree is picked up 24 hours later but still no power
