The first time I came in I was treated really not very nice. They way they looked at me was like I was pile of poop. The fact that I was already not feeling good and then to be treated the way that I was is wrong. The man at the counter was nice it’s was the younger lady at the counter that was talking to me like I was trash. So I left.

I was a heavy drug user for over 20 years, getting on the methadone clinic helped me get off street drugs - I got on a high dose as I was a heavy user, I hit 180 mg. I am now on 42, & continuously going down 2 mg every 27 days. The counselors are real easy to talk to & Im happy with them allowing me to read the Bible together for my own personal recovery. Jenn is one of my favs at the dosing window, she makes me smile every time! Wish everyone was more sweet like her, but so far so good! Thank you Aegis!

I go to Santa Barbara aegis and had take homes. I had two unfavorable UAs in a row, my CREATINE levels were low firvsime reason. It was a strange situation overall, anyways i was very upset for weeks as i was not getting answers or help to figure out . But the nurses and my counselor kept encouraging me but i was so depressed. i was not cheating and had been clean for a very long time doing great which is why . I’ve been a patient @ this particular Aegis for many years. My overall experience is good but I feel there’s room for improvement. This is why I did not give it an overall 5 star rating. The issue I have with Aegis is related to missed counseling appointments and not being given a heads up that my counselor will be a no show and that an appointment was rescheduled. I would recommend Aegis to anyone who has tried everything and you just can't get sober. Once you are medicated by them it helps so much. Honestly this is the alternative to death.. or jail or 5150!! I suggest you give it a try if you are interested. Or if you have a loved one trying to find their life again and you want to see the old them, suggest Aegis!!
