. Aegis Lodge in the Totem Lake area has been wonderful for our Mom. She is so happy there and my brother and i now have peace of mind that she is well cared for. The new Director, Stephanie, pays attention to details and this is seen from the Care Staff who have been excellent to the servers in the dining area who know mom's preferences. AVOID AEGIS Care staff is great but it stops there. Admin is unorganized, unreliable, unable to address problems, deflects concerns. Aegis is WAY over priced and memory care area is dark, dirty and sad. The residents are left to sit most of the day in uncomfortable and dirty furniture. Our mom was there for 1.5 yrs and we have moved her to a less expensive, cleaner and kinder place. Aegis care is greatly lacking compared to other facilities. Aegis Of Fremont is cheerful and sincere Facilities are beautiful and well kept. Caregivers here are friendly, attentive and sincerely concerned with residents well being although the price is a bit on the high side. Only round-the-clock care is in Dimentia area. PROS: clean, nurse on duty 24 hrs, decently staffed CONS: eats up retirement dollars very quickly as they frequently "re-access" residents.
Really good care for seniors This place changed names from Heritage to Aegis Lodge but it is the same building. My aunt lives there, she really likes it and we enjoy visiting her, it is different to other retirement homes we visited, they have a fish pond, aviary and a trail. It seems that most of the residents are very active so at least it is not one of those depressing places where you wouldn't want to live.
Aegis Of Fremont The environmeny there is pretty nice actually it is really really nice. When i went there before and i could not help but think, "wow this place is beautiful". But now thinking about it there are other places that are better looking than that one but still it is. l think many people that are old would love this place but yea I still like other places better then this but still it is good.
Elder Care Aegis is a newer retirement complex located at Walnut and Cypress. We went on a tour of this facility when they had their open house and found it to be a very nice place. They have studio apartments and small one bedroom units. There is a central dining room where meals are provided and a central living room. Other amenities can be purchased such as haircuts and massages. Some personal assistance can also be provided. As nice as this place is, it is NOT inexpensive.
home away from home The environment at Aegis is pretty, clean, and pleasant. It still looks new from the outside and on the inside. It is decorated in beige and pastel colors with carpeting, so it feels quite homey. There are several different rooms for various activities: the cafeteria for meals, the reading room stocked with newspapers and novels, the activity room for exercise classes, the garden, and more.
