Exceptional in every way! In fact Aegis was recommended by the LT Care Ombudsman after my parents' horrific and unsafe experience at a popular continuing care community in Irvine (RP). We transferred both mom and dad over 3 years ago. He was already on hospice and she was just ready for assisted living. Thus, they moved into 2 separate rooms as we knew he would predecease her soon. Aegis Dana Point has been the soft landing our family desperately needed. Our family has been able to begin healing after a series of devastating losses. We are beyond grateful for the staff and the residents who have welcomed my mom into assisted living and my dad into memory care as well as our family. I highly recommend Aegis Dana Point to anyone even thinking about transitioning into a supportive community for their loved ones. If you are even thinking about it, it's time to check them out!
My mother moved from the East Coast. I was worried for a full year before she moved here that I would find a place for her to live. I knew the moment I met Anne and Eric for the tour that Aegis was the right place. The staff came and greeted my Mom when she moved in and it’s been a wonderful experience since!
When making the decision to move my mom into an assisted living facility was one of the hardest decisions I have had to make. I have been her primary caregiver for about 5 to 6 years and it was hard for me to let go. I didn't think anyone could or would care for her better than me.
