If you don’t have to go to this hospital, don’t. The wait times for even the most basic care are extremely long, and overall, the experience was frustrating and disappointing. Me and my father who has a blood clot waited from 11:30am till past 5 am. He jus recieves knee surgery from the same hospital the day before and developed complications from it..the next day the nurse visited him at home and suspected either a blood clot or infection and told us we should go to the advocate ER and apologized for recommending us going there, I soon found out why when I saw patients passed out from pain it's about to be 5pm and my poor father is waiting restless in his wheel chair.

South suburban emergency room was terrible. Something happened to my knee and leg. And I tore some muscle in my leg. All they did was take X-rays and sent me on my way. They didn't even bring me in a patient room. Then give me anything for the pain at the time. Only a prescription. These people only see you as numbers not patience. They never wrapped up my leg or make sure it was secured. They just gave me some crutches. They in refer me anywhere. I didn't know what to do. I know I'd be out of work. It's just like they just ... read more
