*Located on the third floor of the Oakwood Center complex* This facility is unlike other I've seen in the area. The rooms are comfortable & equipped with lounge seating, white noise machines, oil diffusers, mist humidifiers & LoFi lighting. They have complimentary cider, hot cocoa, tea, coffee, soda, etc. in the waiting room. I had my first individual therapy session with Shannon Johnson today & she was wonderful! My therapist is great but the way the company is run there is an iron curtain that prevents you from contacting them. There are no appointment coordinators, no support staff, the phone number they give just auto directs you to either the police or a hospital. You cannot contact any staff member through ANY means because no info is given and you will never speak to a human being. This is blatant contempt for patients and hiding behind an answering machine to avoid providing services.
Our family has visited with Steve and others her and have had incredibly positive experiences. We understand that a persons mental health needs assistance at times and having Advocate's counseling based biblically is a comfortable place for our family.
Adam is a great guy. Extremely intelligent and helped me become a better person and I can't recommend him enough!
Adam did a great job helping me to get out a funk I was stuck in mid-pandemic. Our sessions allowed me to move on with my life and to have a more positive outlook. I’d highly recommend him to those looking for quality mental health services in the Point/Plover area!
