Front desk is great. Radiologist will cancel your imaging orders if she doesn’t agree w your prescribing physician.

Terrible experience with the Advocate Health Care imaging center on North Halsted. I’ve been trying for 3+ weeks to schedule imaging for a lump in my armpit and keep getting completely different answers every time I call. My primary care doctor (in the same network) even spoke directly with them and submitted the exact referral they asked for, yet I was still refused scheduling and told something different again. Absolutely ridiculous that Masonic's first available CT appointment is June 8 - today is April 17!!! And, even though they have multiple imaging locations around Chicago, none of them can schedule me either. Really?! Advocate does nothing but get worse every time I deal with them. Northwestern here I come.

I had an appointment scheduled for a test that was scheduled 2 months in advance and referral taken over the phone at time of scheduling. This was not a first time test for this issue and 3rd time requested by this surgeon. I arrive for the appointment to be told that referral was not found first then she said she had it but couldn’t take it because of it was from the nurse. These doctors don't care about your need for imaging. Here's why. Let's say, hypothetically, you have a lump on the right side of your neck that's close to your facial nerve and it needs a biopsy. They first will schedule you a biopsy and cancel without much notice due to there being insufficient info in the biopsy order. Okay mistakes happen right? Then they'll have you get the order faxed from Chicago ENT. Problem solved. WRONG! You have to wait at least 3 weeks for one of their doctors to approve the order (which still wa... read more
