I have never been to a better ER! They are quick, efficient and always so nice and supportive. Can’t recommend this ER enough!
I think a lot of people will argue the wait is long, which it can be when things are slammed, but as a regular who goes in for diabetes complications it is vital people remember the ER is only for stabilization. The workers in there are working off acute labs, that changes from minute to minute. My doctor took the time to explain this to me, when I got cranky myself about the entire frustrating process, but I was finally given proper explaination about how this happens. Not sure why all the ERs on google got bad ratings. In Advocate Good Shepherd hospital, we've been treated very nicely by everyone here tonight, and the place looks clean, ordered, and safe. I'll recommend highly.
We found our initial experience at the Advocate Good Shepherd Emergency Department to be disappointing. Upon arrival, the reception staff were prompt and professional. However, after being assigned a room, it took approximately 45 minutes for a Physician Assistant (PA) to arrive and order an X-ray. The X-ray department then took an additional 30 to 45 minutes.
