My mom has been dealing with an eye condition for weeks. After visiting several eye specialists Come to find out she had a mini eye stroke. Her retina specialist said to go to her ER for additional testing asap. We arrived today at 5 am and everyone from the front desk, registration desk associate, patient access rep to the triage nurses Katie and Erin, George the EKG tech, Danny the MRI tech and Dr Laurence was God sent. My recent experience at the Emergency Department of Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital was deeply troubling and disappointing, primarily due to the behavior of one hospital employee. While my pregnant wife was being treated in a private room in the emergency department, I asked a simple and reasonable question: whether we could get a pair of pants to go with the hospital gown. I needed some medical help urgently and trying to decide which facility to visit was tough especially seeing the 3 star overall rating. But they had the best professional rating and equipment to address my needs so off I went. I was lucky because from the admittance, to triage, to the nurse, to techs, to the Dr. , I felt very cared for by everyone and I left feeling better than when I arrived and with a care plan.
