Couldn't get a proper intake done. My power of attorney was involved in breakins and was being advised to take over my estate while I was in the hospital and put his property in my car so I can't drive. That together with countless problems at the hospital I need advocacy at least

I just spoke with the 70 year old lawyer and I’m shocked that this individual is representing this centre who are supposed to advocating for the elderly. I was looking for advice or direction for my elderly family members who are on the verge of bankruptcy due to making questionable financial decisions related to capacity and she had to direct the conversation towards the things that she doesn’t offer. Incredibly, one of the least compassionate people I have ever encountered in my life, will answer your call. Don't call if you don't already know what the laws are.The 70 year old female lawyer is not there to help you; she is there to belittle you... Don't expect 'advocacy'. Expect to be chastised.

Disappointing. If I didn't have over 25 years experience working in provincial and federal government departments my conversation with the person here would have discouraged me from proceeding with a complaint. I was made to feel that it was wrong to expect transparency, accountability, or access to information from government organizations that provide care to seniors. Sadly there was also no apparent interest in issues of abuse and physical harm to the elderly if they are systemic. I cannot recommend.

Horrible. Ever single resource for Elder Abuse in Ontario only has numbers to places, that only give you numbers for other places. Every organization just sends families on a wild goose chase, for help that simply doesn't exist in Ontario.
