Folks from the tour were great. Very friendly and helpful. The tour itself was nice but a bit less than advertised or expected. That can be due to chance encounters with wild life, but I was hoping for more, including caves.

I recently moved to the area and was excited to try kayaking. I am a biologist/ecologist and lifelong avid birder so was very eager to see the coast from a new perspective. I have a long history with boating, diving and canoeing, but very little experience with kayaks. I was very impressed with the friendliness and expertise of the owners in the shop and the guides. Incredible trip! We were scheduled for a Thursday, but due to wind and safety concerns, we were able to go out the following day in partly cloudy skies and calm winds… perfect! We saw otters, star fish, fish, kelp crab, jellyfish, and ( probably) a Minke whale. Nate and Raven did an incredible job keeping us safe, and sharing local knowledge of the Strait of Juan de Fuca ( history, ecology, geology). We had a great golden hour paddle with Hayden! The water was beautiful & full of things to see, as well as eagles & deer. Hayden was very knowledgeable, we enjoyed the trip! We recommend Elevate Outdoors & although we have kayaking experience, you really don't have to do this!
