Adventure Treks is an amazing opportunity for kids. My son, although generally very active, saw his own physical improvement over the course of the trip, met some inspiring leaders and new friends, and laughed a lot! As a first time backpacker, the Pacific Northwest 2 trip opened his eyes to the wonders of immersing in nature. (We live in a city without mountains nearby). My son has participated in 2 AT experiences (Wyoming and the Ultimate Northwest). He has learned so much from his experiences that I wanted to share my thoughts for those considering AT versus other adventure camps. It is more than an average summer camp.
