Fun coasters! Adventure Lands is the only real amusement park in Iowa. Lines are never super long and it's admission prices are reasonable (under $30). It's worth going to once a summer. It doesn't have the best rides, but it's coasters and water rides will tide you over until you can take a trip to Great American or Disney World.
Amusement for all. Adventureland Park is the only "true" amusement park in Iowa. The park has mellow rides (the train), rides for toddlers and young children (Infant Ocean, Lady Bugs, etc), water rides (Raging River, Sawmill Splash), spinners (Inverter, Falling Star), and 2 wooden roller coasters, and one inverted steel roller coaster. The Tornado was a top 10 coaster in the country when it was built, and is still an incredible ride. Prices of food or inflated, but not nearly as costly as a Six Flags park. Awesome Place This is such a fun place to go. There are rides for kids of all ages. They have a lot of rides for toddlers that I didn't think they would. There prices are reasonable to get into. The food prices inside is a little pricey. The games are really fun and they even have games a 3 year old can play. They do have a few rides that super plus size people can ride.
Family Fun This amusement park is centrally located in Iowa. There are lots of rides for everyone in all age groups. The log ride and raging river are always a hit. Expect a long line on hot days and weekends. The food costs quite a bit and is not all that great. I recommend bringing your own for a picnic outside the park later.
Nice amusement park close by Only takes just under two hours from Cedar Rapids to reach this location. Be sure to consult their website for black out dates. You can find discount coupons for tickets at local grocery stores and gas stations. It doesnt hurt to pick these up. The cost of tickets can add up fast. To make the most of it, arrive early. We pack lunch in a cooler to leave in the vehicle. Then we return to it at lunchtime to eat and take a break before hitting the rides again. The cost of food is pricey in the park.
