We booked to take a whale watch on September 5th back in July, We received a booking confirmation. We arrived in Tiverton early to find out from the local cafe that Adventure Bay stopped doing tours last Sunday ( August 31st). No one notified us. We could have booked with a different company had we of known. So our early morning ferry from St John and drive to Tiverton was for nothing. A wasted day.
Had an amazing time. As Captain Matt said “we experienced 3 seasons” but still managed to see the whales. So majestic. Definitely will visit again. Thank you!
Such a great time with this company. We checked in with the office and received a very warm welcome. The staff on the boat were great! Warm, welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was having a good time. Parking is available close to the ramp which heads to the water. At the office, they have a porta potty avaliable. For those arriving early, there is a store down the road which opens at 8:30 am, offering coffee and some fresh, ready to go food, along with just about everything else you need.
Great captain & crew. The whales were awesome! They came very close to the boat. Also saw pods of porpoises off in the distance.
