They were very attentive, empathetic, and considerate. The doctor cared about helping me understand/be informed.
Cannot say enough good things about this hospital. My daughter had a very high fever and they saw us right away and were extremely professional. Going to the ER is never easy but we felt very well taken care of.
I'm really surprised at the bad reviews. I feel that I was treated very well by Dr. Bennett O. Lee and all the staff in ER. They probably saved my life on 1 August 2024. I was diagnosed with a rather nasty Bacterial infection in small intestine, given painkillers(morphine) and prescription medications. Doc. gave me clear and understandable instructions and after 4 hours of observation was released. I was extremely satisfied with the entire experience.
Dr Wang and his nurse Maria treated me very poorly at the emergency department. He wrote down on my discharge paperwork that I showed up intoxicated on alcohol when I clearly wasn’t. Why would I drink and drive like that from one side of the island to another in the middle of the night. They refused to show me any proof of alcohol being in my system and/or the percentage when I asked. Then the nurse started arguing with me and gaslighting me that I’m arguing with her. As a former health care worker I truly have compassion for people in the healthcare space and usually would never say anything bad about anyone working at a hospital. However, my experience here at Castle Kailua was so terrible that this place is the exception. I had a truly horrible experience with the woman at the front desk of the ER on the afternoon of MLK day (January 15th, 2024). She refused to help me with checking me in to get Xrays for my neck.
