Dropped off in a room and left for 90 minutes before anyone came in, then welcomed by someone saying I need you to walk to the scale to get your weight. Couldn’t walk that’s why I was there, they weren’t sure who I was and didn’t introduce themselves. Often waited quite some time before call light was answered. Often heard patients screaming for help for half an hour or more. First ; days nurses were terribly rude, but became nicer after they realized I wasn’t needy or mentally incapacitated. We are so grateful for the care my dad receives here. From the moment he arrived, the staff has been nothing short of excellent. The nurses and CNAs are kind, attentive, and truly treat him with respect and compassion. My dad genuinely loves them, which says everything. It gives our family real peace of mind knowing he’s in a place where people care about him as a person, not just a patient. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do every day!
I have a family member at this facility. She moved there 2 months ago due to the unexpected closing of her old nursing home. I was SUPER impressed that staff came to meet her before the move to make sure it would be a "good fit". When she arrived, she was warmly greeted, given a tour, reassured by everyone. All I can say is....she is happy. Thank you, Solaris HC College Park team.
I was in this facility for approximately 6 weeks and they really dropped the ball in many different aspects. I would not recommend this place. I had clothes that I sent out to the laundry that weren't returned. My roommate died in my room. It was overall a really bad experience. The nurses had attitudes and the physical rehab person was pissed off that I couldn't do some of the exercises that he demanded that I do
