I had a procedure this morning and the staff was friendly and the nurses were fantastic. I was in a room with nurses all named Christina, and Dr. Chang. My procedure was set for 7am and I was headed home by 8:30. Much better than another surgery center I've been to in Tampa.
Yesterday, my wife had surgery at AdventHealth Surgery Center Wellswood, and we are extremely happy and grateful for the outstanding care and service provided by the entire staff. Wow! Everyone here knows their stuff and is super attentive and caring! Wonderful at keeping you calm before procedures. They kept it light hearted but also made you feel super safe and well cared for. Special shout out to Rachel, Jonathan, and Derrick! Every one of them were so kind and so caring. And Dr Farooq was incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate! The nurses, and doctors had great bedside manners, I will never do a procedure at this facility again. I arrived at 6:45 AM for a colanoscopy that was scheduled at 7:00AM. It is now 9:20 and am still waiting in pre-op. I was wheeled in for the procedure at 10:00AM and it was completed at 11:00AM. When I asked the attending nurse why I had to wait 3 hours, before I did my procedure, she stated that that doctor is very "thorough". Arrived at an 8:15am appointment at 8am. Place is packed with no parking and no seats in waiting room., now its after11:30am and still have not been seen. This is a mismanaged facility, plan on spending the entire day. Very strict on arrival times with appointments, meaning if you are late they cancel, the fact they overbook so you get to wait anyway. Horrible service
