These people do not care about helping you. They will take your money knowing they cannot help you and then turn you away. I have a rare condition that my GP referred me here for. Unfortunately, my insurance wouldn't cover the appointment because I hadn't met my yearly deductible, so I had to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket just for 1 appointment. My visit with Dr. Dharani Mudugal (Innovation Tower location) on 8/14 was profoundly disappointing. After waiting 8 months for this appointment, because I was told she specifically manages my condition, I was told at the visit that she does not handle my concern and was then referred to a neurosurgeon. No patient should have to wait so long for an appointment only to be told nothing can be done, then be referred to a neurosurgeon outside of AdventHealth, who, upon seeing me, questioned why I was even there. 0 Stars: I have been an AdventHealth patient for many years. I need to see a neurosurgical spine specialist for a spinal issue which was detected in an AdventHealth Imaging MRI. AdventHealth Neuroscience Institute physicians refused to see me because I had lumbar spine microdisk surgery 5 months ago performed by a surgeon not with AdventHealth. Dr. Stepien is an amazing doctor. She takes time to talk to me and never rushes me. She explains everything well and makes me feel cared for. She has helped me so much with my issue where other doctors gave up on me. I am back to living a normal life again and that’s something I couldn’t be more thankful to her for. I cannot say enough about how wonderful she is! Everyone, from the nurses to the office staff, have been wonderful with me. I’ve had nothing but good experiences here.
