I have used Advent Health Medical Group for the 1st and last time. I went in for an Annual Physical but when I received my bill. Wow. They charged a preventive treatment verses an Annual. What really blows you away? Try and speak with someone in their billing department. No one will return a call or get on the line to explain. Instead you have to listen to CSR explain, and use the PHRASE " I will explain your options. Did you really say that? No customer service. They did reach out but nothing changed. Was amazing a year + ago. Now you cannot get an appointment for months unless you beg and plead. They do not follow up with your referrals. They don’t send you the info for referrals so you can do it on your own. When you call, you have to leave a voicemail for them to respond later. Sometimes no response. Now they have a new system that takes 30-45 minutes per patient to enter the data they already have. If you fast for blood work, be expected to starve while waiting hours for them to enter data. I called 2 weeks ago and made an appointment. Showed up, signed in and waited. After 45 minutes they tell me they have no record of my appointment. Why wait 45 minutes to tell me this, they checked me in as soon as I got there? I had a serious issue I needed to address before leaving town for vacation and now I’m screwed. They refused to work me in, despite being a patient their for a while now.
