I was admitted for a heart attack. When they put into a step down Room after ICU, the med tech was extremely rude. She got so mad at me, after asking for my bed to be moved slightly. That she threw the TV remote in my direction. Went to use the restroom and when I went to sit on the toilet seat, I fell off, because the seat wasn't attached to the toilet. Horrible ER. My wife came to the ER with back pain today. After 2 minutes with a nurse who checked nothing was charged $650.00 without a itemized bill.

Do not go to this hospital. I have been to er twice now with migraines and have been sent home in same or worse condition than when i came in. I came in by ambulance last night and wasjust ledt laying there after they did ct of brain, no meds, i told them i was very sick to my stomach and it was ignored, sent home with paper work that basically told me i had adrug problem. Do not take anyone you care about to HOF hospital. We took my elderly dad in with fever and chills, they kept him 5 days, refused to give a diagnosis beyond, "He has a virus" never would answer our questions or tell us anything about his treatment. Refused to sign him out when we couldn't take it any longer, so we took him anyways and they called DCF, and the sheriff on us and tried to force my dad into a nursing home by saying he and my mother were both incompetent for leaving the hospital. A baby got finger cut off with scissors by a nurse that was taking off a bandage. Another kid was overdosed with meds and will never run a play again. Someone went in for a seizure and was never monitored but given a pill that made her sick and tired. If you want to survive don't go to The Heart Of Florida Hospital. Just Google this hospital and you will find so much more bad news from this hospital then any other one.

STAY AWAY from this place...These are my experiences: Emergency room personnel (check in) are condescending and rude...smart asses...My son was MISDIAGNOSED by the doctor...doctor said colonitis...apparently he did not noticed the two big cycst he had...they were obviuos.... It took me (an untrained eye), to diagnose my son....My wife was admitted...Bathroom flooded everytime she took a shower....we were there for 6 days and noone ever came to check it...Told the staff 3 times about it....Desk personnel in the hallway don't ... read more

On the moth of April 2012 I was taken to the Heart of Florida Hospital because of a extreme pain. Immediately I arrive I was being treated, given medicine for my pain and made studies. Less than 1 hour I had been admitted because of my complicated illness. This hospital almost killed my son – I took my son to this hospital in Jan 2011. He was 6 and he was having his first asmtha attach. I didnt know what it was...all I knew is that my child couldnt breathe. It is teriifying!!!!! The ER doctor immediately released us saying that he had a chest cold. I couldnt believe it. This is the worst hospital ever. The nurses do not care about their patients. My mother's condition has gotten worse since being admitted into this hospital. They do not give her her breathing treatments. The fluid on her lungs has start to find its way to her heart. I am afraid that if she stays in this hospital that she is going to die. Do not ever take a loved one to this hospital for treatment.
