Stephanie Tonnessen is AMAZING!! – She is the most knowledgeable short sale contact I have ever met. She is AMAZING and aggressive which is what it takes to deal with short sale lenders. As far as escrow knowledge and etiquette she is also top notch. I very strongly recommend her to use on any escrow!!
Avoid Stephanie Tonnessen, escrow officer – Avoid her at all costs. She starts off being nice but if she doesn't understand the situation or believes it's something else, she will kill your deal. She is the type that has to have her way or it wont happen. Instead of helping you work together to get the deal done she sit on it until she gets it done her way. Fantastic service – Stephanie Tonnessen at Advantage One is one of the best escrow officers I have worked with and I have been in the business for over 20 years. She does what ever it takes to ensure that your transaction closes on time and with as little confusion as possible. avoid Stephanie Tonnessen, escrow officer – I work for a mortgage broker, and we had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Stephanie Tonnessen at a bad time. We asked Stephanie right before closing if she would send us the HUD settlement statement for review, and it was as if we asked her to sacrifice her child. Not only did she bite my head off, she requested to speak with my supervisor, cussed him out, cussed out my supervisor's boss, and maintained nasty communication with us during the rest of the closing process. Bad bad experience rude people under pretext of being professional. This is not the place for first time home buyers. You need people to explain things for during that process, but we got no support. Don't use this company period.
bad escrow service – I went to the escrow company to open escrow, and the papers that I had to sign were put in a closed envelope. I was going to open the envelope when the escrow officer told me that she doesn't have the time for me and that I have to read the papers on my own, sign them and send them back.
